- Lifejacket law
  Requirements for carrying and wearing lifejackets vary depending on the type of vessel being used.
- Lifejacket care and service
  It is a legal requirement in NSW that inflatable lifejackets are serviced once a year, or in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.

Staying safe
- 65 Plus
  Take extra care as you get older. Always wear a lifejacket and be careful getting in and out of dinghies and tenders.

Boating Safety Communications and Education Strategy 2015-18

A three year strategy for promoting a culture of safe and responsible boating state-wide.

The Boating Safety Education and Communication Strategy includes education, communication, regulatory and compliance activities to achieve NSW Government boating safety priorities.

This Strategy has been developed by the Transport for NSW in partnership with Roads and Maritime Services.
